The
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is clearly one of those cars that looks much better in
person than in pretty much any pictures.
The
reason why the AMG GT looks a lot better in real life is because, when you're
looking at images, it's hard to find just the right viewing angle in order to
gauge just how low it is or how wide it is.
Last
year in Paris, Mercedes brought along two AMG GTs, a silver one and a yellow
one just like this one right here, which in a way is kind of its trademark
color now - called AMG Solarbeam Yellow Metallic, a £ 10,695 optional extra in
the UK, and US$ 9,900 in the US.
Another
thing people generally dismiss about the AMG GT is the fact that you don't
necessarily need to buy the 'S' version in order to tell your friends that you
own a supercar.
The
"entry-level" non-S version is still good for 462 PS and 600 Nm (442
lb-ft) of torque, resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 4.0
seconds flat, and a top speed of 304 km/h (188 mph).
In
comparison, the AMG GT S is only 0.2 seconds quicker to 100 km/h and has a
slightly higher top speed at 310 km/h (192 mph).
As
for this night time photo-shoot, it's beautifully done, with excellent lighting
and great contrast between the car itself and the parking lot structure - not
to mention the city skyline in the background.
