Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift
Although she faces his
formidable rival, the S-Class continues to dominate its segment undivided. Mercedes could therefore take time to change his limousine,
but the brand'd rather be safe than sorry. A prototype of a restyled version
was surprised by our spies. His camouflage is a reflection of the expected
aesthetic changes: rather quiet. The catnip focuses particularly on the
headlights, which however have not yet right here in technology
"Multibeam". Soon released by the sister E-Class, this system will
bring the number to 84 by diode light in order to control the light beam
finely, and it should definitely land on the S-Class, already converted to LEDs
since its launch.
An image of the
interior reveals that the organization of the dashboard is not transformed,
with two major juxtaposed screens that appear to make one. However, the wheel
exchange design with three legs rather than two, and it now receives a touch
surface. That will give a new way to control certain functions of the
multimedia system, which will benefit from an update at the same time. It will
adopt particular carplay system to promote the integration of Apple-branded
smartphones. But this restyled S-Class, launched in late 2016, will also host
some changes under the hood. Besides the widespread 9G-Tronic automatic
transmission, it will adopt such a new family of in-line six-cylinder engine
that will replace the current V6 petrol and diesel.
