2017
Jaguar F-Type
Jaguar has announced
U.S. pricing for the 2017 Jaguar F-Type Coupe and 2017 Jaguar F-Type
Convertible. Base price of both coupe and convertible versions has been reduced
for 2017 model year. The 2016 F-Type Coupe and 2016 F-Type Convertible are
priced at US$ 61,400 and US$ 65,400 (excluding destination charges) respectively.
The entry price point has been lowered by US$ 3,600 for the coupe version and by
US$ 2,700 for the convertible version. The 2017 models will start reaching
showrooms in late Spring of 2016.
This price adjustment
is part of the pricing realignment strategy announced for the 2016 model year.
This strategy aims at an improved competitive value position by combining new
entry-priced models, increased standard equipment and lower MSRPs.
Despite the drop in
prices, the base F-Type still gets standard features such as Meridian 770 Watt
surround sound audio system, navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, sport seats
finished in leather and suede cloth and Jaguar InControl Apps.
Power is sourced from a
supercharged 340 hp 3.0-liter V6 engine which mated to a 6-speed manual
transmission that supplies drive to the rear wheels. 340 hp is a decent power
output but pale in comparison to the top-end F-Type R which produces 550 hp
from its 5.0-liter supercharged V8 paired
which is linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
All 2017 Jaguar models
come with standard EliteCare coverage with complimentary scheduled maintenance,
roadside assistance and Jaguar InControl Protect & Remote for 5-years or
60,000 miles.
