Renault
Clio and Captur Facelift
Renault has announced
that it is upgrading the MediaNav or R-Link infotainment systems present in
their Clio and Captur models. The automaker has also stated that the Clio trim
level will be renamed to align with the Twingo range.
The upgrade makes DAB
radio standard on all Clio and Captur models fitted with the above mentioned
infotainment systems. The obvious benefit of this upgrade is the choice of more
radio stations. In addition to DAB the MediaNav system also gets Bluetooth
streaming, TMC traffic information and SIRI “Eyes-Free” functionality for
compatible iPhones. The R-Link system on the other hand gains a more sensitive
touchscreen that now supports multi-touch gestures such as ‘pinch and zoom’.
The Renault Clio
Dynamique S Nav trim has been lavished with grey upholstery and new
leather-wrapped steering wheel for the interior. The Clio Expression+ variant
has been renamed as ‘Play’ to bring it in line with the smaller Twingo city
car.
The Clio is available
in five trims and despite the upgrades still has the same starting price of
£ 11,145. The Captur offered in a total of four trims also retains the previous
starting price tag of £ 14,295.
