Toyota
Sienna R-Tuned concept
Toyota has
debuted the Sienna R-Tuned concept minivan at the 2015 SEMA Show. This concept
was made by Toyota Technical Center in collaboration with DG-Spec performance
shop.
The
objective was to modify a stock Sienna SE “Swagger Wagon” to deliver radically
enhanced performance. Toyota claims that the end result, that is the concept,
was able to beat a 6.2-liter V8 Camaro SS producing 426 hp, at the Willow
Springs test track by a one-second margin posting a time of 1 minute 27
seconds.
The
exterior gets a Kaminari carbon-fiber hood, roof rail delete, 18-inch bright
silver Enkei wheels wrapped in Nitto 275/40 tires and a black paint with
yellow/white racing stripes going front to back and on the lower flanks. The
interior has been fitted with a DG-Spec 4-point roll bar and custom seat
mounts, Corbeau Pro Series race seats and G-Force Pro Series 6-point harnesses.
Though the
3.5-liter V6 engine has not been tinkered with, there has been performance
upgrades in the form of DG-Spec 3-inch cat-back exhaust and custom cold air
intake as well as a super lock LSD (Limited Slip Differential) by OS Giken. The
suspension has been changed to DG-Spec double adjustable coilovers at the front
and double adjustable body shocks at the rear.
