Yamaha MT-10

The MT-10 is the first model in the MT range (labelled FZ in the U.S.) to feature a four-cylinder engine. It is a direct street fighter derivative of the Yamaha YZF-R1 but with substantial changes to the Deltabox chassis and powertrain to make it an everyday machine. Its power and torque figures are not revealed yet, but the motorcycle is expected to pack more than 150 hp given the R1 has 165 hp in store. The MT-10’s wheelbase is reported to be around 1,400 mm.

The Ducati Monster 1200R rival is loaded with features such as three variable riding modes, a three-stage traction control system, a cruise control system that engages above 51.5 km/h, a slipper clutch, a 43 mm fully-adjustable fork, a monoshock, a four-piston front brake caliper and ABS.

The model is said to be slated for launch in Europe in May 2016. It will be offered in three colours – Fluo Night, Tech Black and Blue Race.
