BMW X5 M by Manhart

Manhart Performance has introduced an upgrade kit for the latest BMW X5 M high-performance SAV. Work started underneath the hood where the twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter normally develops an already generous 575 PS and 750 Nm. Manhart’s engineers thought there’s room for some improvements and applied their knowhow to squeeze more power from the motor. This was possible by tweaking the engine’s software and installing a custom exhaust system with dual 100-mm tips, bespoke downpipes, and stainless steel sport mufflers with valve control.

As a result of these upgrades, the V8 engine is now capable of developing a massive 700 PS at 6,500 rpm and 900 Nm from 5,700 rpm. Manhart also removed the 155-mph electronic top speed limiter to allow the BMW X5 M achieve an impressive 315 km/h. These figures are attainable for € 7,500 (plus mounting), but there’s also a lesser package that takes output to 640 PS.

If there’s still money left in the bank, the BMW X5 M can receive a grey matte body wrap for € 3,500 and a set of 22-inch BBS SV wheels shod in 295/30 ZR22 front and 335/25 ZR 22 rear Vredestein Ultrac Vorti tires available as a complete set for € 4,284. The new shoes can be matched with some H&R lowering springs that will set you back € 1,188 and will bring the SAV closer to the pavement by 35 mm.

There’s not much going on inside the cabin, but Manhart can replace the central-left air vent with an AWRON display for € 799 (plus installation) to give you all the relevant data about the vehicle.
