2016 Alfa Romeo 4C
Alfa Romeo announced some enhancements
for the MY216 4C in the US market, which includes both the Coupe and the
Spider.
More specifically, the 2016 Alfa Romeo
4C can now be ordered with more personalisation options which mainly include
more carbon-fiber goodness.
Alfa Romeo now offers an optional
carbon-fiber cover for the 4C Spider’s aluminum roll bar while also new is the
Carbon Fiber Trim Package, available for both the Coupe and the Spider. The
latter adds an instrument panel, shift paddles, instrument cluster surround and
vent surrounds made out of the same lightweight material the 4C’s tub is made
of.
Furthermore the company offers a premium
leather trim option with Tobacco and Black sports seats paired with a black
leather interior with Tobacco stitching.
The 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe also gains
some of the features first seen on the Spider counterpart, including the Alpine
head unit which provides better audio quality, more user-friendliness and advanced
connectivity options.
A dual-mode Akrapovic exhaust system
made out of titanium and controlled by Alfa Romeo’s DNA switch, provides an
angry soundtrack when needed and features carbon exhaust tips.
The mid-mounted turbocharged 1.75-litre
petrol engine still makes 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, sending them to the
rear wheels through a double-clutch six-speed TCT gearbox, allowing the 4C to
accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.
Customers can also choose the optional
Track package which includes high-performance shock absorbers with larger
front- and rear-sway bars, and available bespoke Pirelli P-Zero tires among
others.
