Honda
CB1100
Honda’s
1000 cc Modern Classic, the CB1100 upcoming upgrade was revealed as a part of
Honda’s Tokyo show preview. While the new machine does not part too much from
the current generation, yet there are some changes that would increase the overall
appeal.
Currently
there are no further updates about the specifics of the motorcycle, but from
the image release by Visordown there is a hint of a new shape for the tank.
There is a new seat which sports a different finish alongside new footrests and
a re-shaped airbox which sports a more classic look.
On
the engine side, not much looks to have changed, so mostly the current
generation CB1100 engine is expected to cross over, along with the existing
chassis and suspension setup. While the motorcycle has been tagged concept, its
overall looks more ready for production.
The
current generation CB1100 features an 1140 cc inline, four cylinder, air and
oil cooled engine that produces 88 bhp of power and 91 Nm of torque channelled
to the road via a six-speed gearbox. Sticking to the modern classic theme, the
motorcycle features Honda’s PGM-FI electronic fuel injection and hydraulic disc
brakes back and front with 2-channel ABS.
