Hyundai i20 Sport
Hyundai has launched the i20 with the
new 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in the German market in
a special Sport edition.
Launched in the 5-door hatchback
bodystyle, the i20 Sport rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and a 20 mm lowered
suspension. Offered exclusively in a Polar White shade, the i20 Sport gets body
decals throughout, side skirts, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser-like element
with a chrome plated exhaust.
Other features that are borrowed from
the standard i20 include LED daytime running lights, projector headlights,
keyless entry and go and a multimedia system.
Under the hood, the i20 Sport gets the
all-new turbocharged engine with a Singe scroll turbo which delivers 120 PS and
172 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission driving the
front wheels. The engine was developed at Hyundai’s German technical center in
Rüsselsheim, and is likely to power Hyundai’s performance models under the ‘N’
Sport moniker too. The i20 Sport is priced at 19,990 EUR.
