Lone Star 2 Concept
American
company Motus decided to make a crazy supercharged version of the MSTR sport
touring bike. The machine is still an amazing creature with its
aggressive lines and its magnificent 230 hp supercharged V4. The Lone Star,
built around the a Ninja H2 chassis, is specially designed for the Handbuilt
Motorcycle Show, which will be going to take place in Austin, Texas.

Motorcycles, builders of V4 sport touring bikes has just revealed a new concept
bike called the Lone Star 2. According to Motus co-founder Brian Case, the bike
is a Cafe Racer. We still like the aggressive lines, the white painted fuel tank, the
rims, and of course the large, cool-looking 1650 cc V4 engine.
The
Lone Star is built around the modern H2 chassis, incorporated with additional
power with a bracket mounted. This was necessary because of the supercharger
which sits on the left side of the engine. The supercharger is actuated by the
alternator pulley and it has basically no lag at all. Of course that means that
you have to deal with insane acceleration even at low-revs.
To
achieve these performance numbers, the engine got a custom tuned ECU, a high
lift cam, lower compression Mahle pistons and a set of 4-2-1 tri-y stainless
exhaust headers with an Akrapovic GP slip-on muffler. The result is 50 more
horses over the stock setup which produces 180 hp. The guys at Motus mounted a
pair of Pirelli Angel GT tires onto a pair of one-off 7-spoke BST carbon fiber
wheels.
The
one-off machine was specially designed for the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show so if
