New Peugeot 3008
Peugeot caught testing the
successor of the 3008, heavily camouflaged, in Sweden. The French
company is planning to replace the existing 3008 with a more crossover-like
model.
Despite the camo of the prototype, we
can see that the new Peugeot 3008 will follow the smooth lines of the 308.
Most of its powertrains, too, will be
shared with the compact hatch, meaning a range of three- and four-cylinder
turbocharged petrol and diesels like the petrol PureTech 1.2 and the 1.6 HDi.
The vast majority of the new crossover’s
range will be offered as a FWD only, with Peugeot probably adding an AWD
plug-in hybrid later on.
The new Peugeot 3008 is expected to
debut its home turf, at the Paris Motor Show in October - unless, that is,
Peugeot throws in a surprise and displays it in Geneva.
