Mansory 4XX Siracusa
Ferraris and tuners never really mix up
and this example right here stays true to the tradition. This is Mansory’s
proposal for the Ferrari 488 called the 4XX Siracusa, offering a ‘unique’
carbon bodywork and 790 hp from the twin-turbo V8 powerplant.
The new bodywork now
features bigger air intakes and all sorts of wings and winglets which are
supposedly improving the downforce levels and increase the fresh-air flow to
the engine. Oh, and they are made out of carbon, making them lighter than the
factory components too.
Mansory has also installed a set of
lightweight alloy wheels, measuring 20 inch at the front and 21 inch at the rear with
255/30 and 325/25 high-performance tires respectively. A set of lowering
springs drops the car’s center of gravity by 20 mm.
The strange thing though is that Mansory
claims to have tuned the twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 engine into making 778 hp and 870 Nm of torque by just ‘optimizing the engine’s management and the
use a specially designed exhaust system’.
In addition, the claimed performance
figures are not that much better than the standard 488; 0-100 km/h comes in 2.9
seconds and the top speed is now 341 km/h, when the standard car needs
3 seconds flat and tops out at 330 km/h.
The new Mansory 4XX Siracusa is set for
a public debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
