Subaru Levorg
After a successful launch in Japan,
Subaru decided that it was time for the Levorg sports tourer to take its
chances in Europe as well.
The Levorg became available at the end
of September last year, when it officially replaced the 5th generation Legacy
on the old continent (though not the Outback).
It was initially offered in two trim
levels, the GT and GT-S, while also representing Subaru's first Euro-bound
model equipped with Rear Vehicle Detection and High Beam Assist systems for
enhanced overall safety.
According to the Japanese automaker, the
Levorg is a more compact and more complete package when compared to the 5th-gen
Legacy. Its 1.6-liter Direct Injection Turbo petrol engine is mated to Subaru's
renowned Lineartronic transmission and symmetrical all-wheel drive systems,
resulting in low floor vibration, noise and harshness.
As for practicality, the Levorg offers
plenty of storage and 522 liters of luggage space, which is about the same as
the old Legacy Estate.
