Yamaha R3 Matte Grey colour
Yamaha R3 is a fully faired sports bike
which was first launched in 2015. It is available in three colour options as of
now – Race Blue, Rapid Red, and Midnight Black.
At the ongoing 2016 Bangkok Motor Show
in Thailand, Yamaha has revaled the R3 in a new Matte Grey colour scheme. Apart
from the new colour, there are no other changes mechanically on-board the R3 on
display.
Yamaha R3 is powered by a twin cylinder
321 cc liquid cooled FI engine which delivers maximum power of 42 PS at 10,750
rpm and peak torque of 29.6 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Measuring 2090 mm in length, 720
mm in width, 1135 mm in height, Yamaha R3 ha a wheelbase of 1380 mm and a
ground clearance of 160 mm.
Both front and rear get 17 inch alloys
wrapped around 110/70 section rubber in the front and 140/70 section rubber at
the rear. Braking is taken care by a single 298 mm disc in the front and a single
220 mm disc at the rear. ABS is optional (but not on offer in India).
Weighing 169 kgs, it has a top speed of
over 170 km/h. Sold in India via the CKD route, Yamaha R3 rivals the likes of
Ninja 300.
