2016 Honda Activa-i
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter
India (HMSI) has launched the 2016 Honda Activa-i for INR 50,255, ex-Showroom,
Mumbai. The 2016 Activa-i sees no increase in price over the previous model
year. It is however available in three new colors though.
HMSI have introduced Pearl
Trance Yellow, Candy Jazzy Blue and Imperial Red metallic shades on the new
Activa-i. Aside from these colors, HMSI says that the Activa-i will continue to
be offered in Pearl Amazing White and Black, and Orchid Purple Metallic too.
There are no other changes
to the Honda Activa-i. It continues to be powered by the 110 cc
single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with HET (Honda Eco Technology), which
develops 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.74 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm paired to a
V-Matic transmission.
The scooter measures 1,795
mm in length, 705 mm in width, 1,115 mm in height and 1,238 mm in wheelbase. It
has a ground clearance of 165 mm and a kerb weight of 103 kg with a 5.3-liter
fuel tank. The Activa-i gets 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear with the
CBS (Combi-Braking System) technology.
Segmentation wise, the
Activa-i sits at the bottom of the Activa range. The Activa 3G is positioned
above it while the Activa 125 is the flagship Activa offering.
