Audi RS3 by MR Racing
We think most people underestimate how
small the RS3 is because it looks so beefy. But from one end to the other, it's
about 4.3 meters long. So to squeeze a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine and
all-wheel drive is quite an achievement.
Is 430 hp not enough? MTM is specialized in tuning
the 2.5-liter turbo engine and can get it to 502 PS. Not happy with that
either? Well, the RS3 Sportback made by MR Racing is the best one yet,
featuring a massive 535 PS and 700 Nm of torque.
There's no world on
performance. We could tell you that a standard RS3 will do 100 km/h in 4.3
seconds and that it will reach 280 kph. But it's kind of pointless.
Our best guess is that a hatchback with this much power can theoretically reach
190 miles per hour, shaming most Jaguars.
The adjustments made to the 2.5-liter
turbocharged engine include the usually modified air intake system and
stainless steel sports exhaust by “Friedrich Motorsport” at the rear. This last
part consists of a larger downpipe, HJS metal sport catalytic converters and an
active valve control system that lets the driver control the sound level.
However, we don't expect it to be civilized under any circumstances.
The standard low-lag turbocharger Audi
used has been replaced by a larger TTE 500 turbocharger, helped by a larger
fuel pump and intercooler.
The
white RS3 features some red and blue graphics, 19-inch ATS GTR alloy wheels
finished in “traffic red” with 235/35R19 Pirelli tires, and lowered suspension.
Yeah, it looks tuned, but nobody will suspect you're hiding a Ferrari F430
under there.
