Kymco CK1
Kymco is on a constant
expansion of its range of offerings for Europe. After recently announcing the
introduction of the Kymco Downtown 350i scooter, Kymco is now ready to
introduce a smaller engined motorcycle for Europe.
The Kymco CK1 is a new 125
cc motorcycle which is powered by a single-cylinder 125 cc, four-stroke engine
producing 10.5 bhp of power and 10 Nm of torque. The motorcycle priced
at € 1,999 (US$ 2,270) and available through Kymco’s dealerships by the end
of March 2015.
The latest offering from the
Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer would compete with the likes of the KTM Duke
125 and the Yamaha MT-125. Both the competing motorcycles have much better
build quality and a more sophisticated engines that produces close to 15 bhp.
Although, both these motorcycles come for a much higher price tag of around
€ 4,000 (US$ 4,550), double the price of the CK1.
While the Kymco CK1 is half
the price of the KTM and the Yamaha machines, it still tries its best to retain
its appeal. the large tank with integrated turn signals on its shrouds and
multi-spoke alloy wheels actually are quite appealing and the motorcycle looks
well proportioned from every angle.
