The 2017 Lexus CT is already being tested on European
streets, spyshots revealed last year. A speculative rendering from kurumagt.com
shows what the next-gen Lexus CT may look like.
The design of the second generation
Lexus CT seen in this rendering seems to be inspired by that of the Lexus RX
and Lexus RC.
The second generation Lexus CT would be
the first Lexus to use the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. The
current generation Lexus CT shares its hybrid powertrain with the third
generation Toyota Prius. The next-gen CT, similarly, may borrow the new
generation Prius‘s 120 bhp hybrid powertrain.
The 2017 Lexus CT should go on sale by
H2 2017 in Japan, followed by Europe and North America.
