BMW R1200 (Update)

BMW has revealed a range of technical updates to an array of bikes as it brings them into line with new Euro4 emissions and noise regulations with the whole of F800 range and many of the R1200 models involved.

In the R1200 range there is the return of the popular ‘Triple Black’ R1200GS Adventure model along with changes to the entire  R1200GS range, R1200RT, R1200RS and R1200R too; again done with Euro4 regulations in mind where noise and exhaust emissions controls are much stricter.

The BMW R1200GS is the biggest-selling bike in the UK over 125 cc and changes have been brought in for next year’s laws but the bike will actually be available as a 2017 model from August 2016.

These technical changes outlined on the R1200GS extend to include the R1200GS Adventure, R1200RT tourer, half-faired R1200RS and the R1200R roadster as all will have to fall in line with the same Euro4 regulations and the engines, swingarms and running gear are much the same.
