2017 Acura RLX
The MY2017 RLX goes on sale
nationwide now, offering a wide range of active safety technologies to
customers willing to pay from US$ 55,370, a US$ 3,480 increase over last year’s
entry-level model.
This is because the new 2017 Acura RLX’s base
version is now the RLX with Technology Package, with the company dropping last
year’s entry model completely.
The RLX now comes with more
equipment as standard, including the Acura Watch suite of active safety
systems, including adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking
system, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system and cross traffic
monitor among others. Other standard features also include the rear-wheel steer
system, 19-inch alloys, the AcuraLink connected infotainment system and LED
headlights.
It to be powered by a
310 hp direct-injection 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine mated to a six-speed automatic
transmission. The Sport Hybrid model is going on sale later this fall. Acura
had updated the chassis last year, making the RLX more comfortable and refined
by retuning the suspension.
Customers will be able to choose between two trim
levels: the aforementioned RLX with Technology Package and the RLX with Advance
Package, with the latter priced from US$ 61,370.
