2017 Land Rover Discovery
Land Rover released a
teaser image showing the front end of the all-new 2017 Discovery, the company’s
full-sized seven-seater SUV.
Essentially the
production version of the Discovery Vision concept, the new Land Rover
Discovery stays faithful to the design we first saw at the 2014 New York Auto
Show.
The new Disco will sit above the Discovery Sport in the range and will be based upon
the Range Rover’s aluminum platform, making it a lot lighter than its predecessor
whose weight figure could be compared to that of a small planet.
Land Rover will
reportedly offer the new Discovery with their Ingenium family of engines while
other reports suggest that this will be the first model in the brand’s lineup
to gain a special SVX off-road version. The world premiere of the
new Land Rover Discovery is scheduled for September 28, ahead of the Paris
Motor Show.
