Honda N-Box Slash
Honda sells many K-Car (Kei Car) in
Japan. Most of them wear the letter N – like the N-One, N-WGN, N-Box, or the
one you see here, called the N-Box Slash.
The N-Box
Slash is one of the more stylish members of Honda's Kei-car family, taking a
wildly different design approach to the retro N-One. And now it's undergone a
bit of a refresh with new interior trim, equipment, alloys, and exterior color
options.
There's an outdoorsy new Trekking Style interior
package, a window treatment that cuts down on UV and IR radiation, and more USB
outlets. Buyers can choose between 16 two-tone color schemes and 25 monotone
colors (including three new shades) and six interior packages.
As per Japanese regulations, all Kei cars are
powered by a 660 cc engine – in this case with three cylinders and available in
naturally aspirated or turbo forms, driving to the front wheels or all four through
a continuously variable transmission. Pricing starts at 1,320,000 yen (about US$ 13k)
for the base G model and tops out at 1,840,000 yen (US$ 18k) in top-of-the-line X
Turbo form.
