Nissan Kicks (Mexico)
The India-bound Nissan Kicks entered
production at the Nissan Aguascalientes A1 plant in Mexico last month and now
it has been launched in the country. The Toyota C-HR-rival has been priced from
283,900 pesos.
The Nissan Kicks is available in Mexico
in three grades: Sense, Advance and Exclusive. The Sense grade is equipped with
features like 4-speaker sound system, 60:40 split second-row seats, front
airbags, ABS with EBD and BA. The Advance grade’s highlights are LED signature
lamps, foglamps, automatic headlights and parking sensors.
The Advance grade’s key aspects are auto
AC, leather front seats, TFT display for the instrument panel, leather seats,
leather-wrapped gearshift knob, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation and
NissanConnect, sound system with four speakers and two tweeters, Vehicle
Dynamic Control (VDC), Integrated Dynamic-control Module (IDM), Active Trace
Control (ATC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Around View Monitor
(AVM).
The Nissan Kicks is powered by the
HR16DE 1.6-liter gasoline engine that produces 118 hp at 6,300 rpm and 149.14 Nm of torque. This naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit,
also found in the Nissan Juke, can be had with a 5-speed manual transmission or
the XTRONIC continuously variable transmission. The South American-spec Nissan
Kicks is based on the Nissan V platform, while the India-spec Nissan Kicks
(codename: Nissan Nissan PB1D) will reportedly be underpinnned by the
Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B platform.
