Brabus dug deep into its customary bag of tricks to
dress up the exterior of the AMG C 63 S. The usual array of carbon fiber body
components are all there, including the front fender vents, side mirrors and
air intake surrounds.
There’s also a front spoiler that was installed for
downforce purposes. A rear carbon fiber spoiler plays the role of its counterpart.
A carbon fiber diffuser also found its way into the back of the sedan, framing
the finishers of the stainless steel exhaust system that Brabus is offering as
an optional acquisition.
The interior of the car looks as sexy as ever,
thanks in large part to a predominantly black leather theme that’s complemented
by black Alcantara with anti-slip properties and the bright yellow leather trim
on the seats, steering wheel, door handles, and floor mats. The contrast yellow
stitching is a particular highlight as it brings a much desired visual pop to
the cabin.
Some carbon bits sealed with high-gloss piano
lacquer can also be found in the interior, specifically on the instrument
panel, center console, and door panels. Aluminum pedals finish off the upgrades
on this section of the AMG C 63 S.
The results are enough to propel the
AMG C 63 S from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds – two-tenths of a second
quicker than the standard model’s 3.9-second run to 62 mph. True to its
reputation, the German tuner developed a unique performance upgrade on the AMG
C 63 S, dubbed the PowerXtra B40S - 650.” The kit is made up of a pair of
turbochargers with larger compressors, new core assemblies, and reinforced
axial bearings. There’s also an engine-specific ECU remap to improve the
fuel-injection and ignition systems of the V-8. The result is an improvement of
140 horsepower and 80 pound-feet of torque over the engine’s standard output of
510 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque.
