The 2017 Honda
City‘s exterior has been leaked online, courtesy funtasticko.net. The images
show the updated front and rear fascias of the Honda Jazz based sedan.
The 2017 Honda City gets restyled
headlamps, redesigned upper grille and lower grille, new fog lamp enclosures
and revised bumper. Some grades will be available with LED lighting in the
headlamps and LED fog lights. At the rear, the Honda City features tweaked tail
lights, bootlid-mounted rear spoiler and sportier bumper. The facelift also
features new design alloy wheels.
The 2017 Honda City will be available in S, V, V+,
SV and SV+ grades in Thailand. There will be some minor revisions on the
equipment offered in different grades. Map reading light will be available in
the V+ grade, 60:40 split folding rear seats will no longer be available in the
SV grade, instrument cluster gauges of the V and above grades will get white
backlighting, the hand brake lever of V+ grade will see chrome finish, there
will be a rear armrest with two glass holders in SV and SV+ grades, three rear
seat headrests with adjustable height will be equipped only in the SV+ grade
and a smaller, 6.8-inch central display with reversing camera graces the V, SV
and SV+ grades.
In Thailand, the 2017 Honda City should continue
being offered with the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, along with a 5-speed
manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission. In India, where
also the facelifted model will be launched next month, the 1.5-litre i-DTEC
diesel engine should continue being offered along with the 1.5-litre i-VTEC
petrol engine.
