2017 Kawasaki KX100 and KX250F
Kawasaki KX100 and Kawasaki KX250F launched this week are brought to India via the CBU
route.
Kawasaki KX100 is powered by a 99 cc carburetted
single cylinder two-stroke mill. The 2017 Kawasaki KX100 is based on the
smaller KX85 just like the 2016 edition. Powering the bike is a 99 cc single
cylinder, water cooled two-stroke mill coupled with a 6 speed gearbox. At low
speed it has a compression ratio of 10.2:1 and at high speed is 8.7:1. The
Kawasaki KX100 gets a Keihin PWK 28 carburettor. The handlebar boasts of 6 way
adjustment.
The Kawasaki KX100 is suspended by 36 mm inverted
telescopic cartridge fork with 20 way compression damping up front and a uni
trak single shock system in the rear with 24 way compression and 21 way rebound
damping plus adjustable spring preload. The bike gets a 19 inch wheel up front
and 16 inch in the rear with petal disc brakes (220 mm in front and 184 mm in
the rear) all around. The Kawasaki KX100 has been priced at INR 4.68 lakhs
(ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Kawasaki KX250F gets a fuel injected 249 cc
mill. Launch control and riding modes are its finest features. The Kawasaki
KX250F gets a 249 cc four-stroke, liquid cooled DOHC mill coupled with a 5
speed gearbox, supported by the 43 mm Keihin EFI with dual injection. The bike
gets a 48 mm inverted telescopic forks up front with separate functions. It
gets 22 way compression damping and 20 way rebound damping along with 40 way
spring preload. The rear gets uni-trak mono shock with 19 way compression
damping, 22 way rebound damping and fully adjustable spring preload.
Tipping the scales at just 104.3 kg, the seat and
tank have been flattened for improved handling. Apart from three riding modes,
the Kawasaki KX250F gets launch control. Brakes include a 270 mm petal disc up
front with a 240 mm petal unit in the rear. The Kawasaki KX250F has been priced
at INR 7.14 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
