The
2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift) will have its world premiere at the North American
International Auto Show in Detroit next month.
It won’t be changed extensively
on the outside. Spy media suggests that the facelifted model will get new
Multibeam LED headlamps, tweaked upper grille and modified bumper on the front.
The rear-end should be updated with tweaked tail lamps and modified bumper.
Inside, besides
incorporating some aesthetic changes with additional or changed options for the
dashboard trim and seat upholstery, should feature more advanced technologies.
An updated COMAND infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
smartphone integration compatibility and a 360-degree surround-view camera
feed’s in this system should make the compact SUV more modern.
The current range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel
engines are expected to continue with minor power and efficiency revisions.
Transmission choices should continue to include 6-speed manual and 7-speed
dual-clutch automatic, with power being sent to the front wheels or all four
wheels depending on the configuration chosen.
