2018 Acura RLX (render)
According to a report from autoevolution, the
next-gen Acura RLX will be inspired by the Acura Precision Concept that was
introduced at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. Developed by the
Acura Design Studio in California, the Acura Precision Concept is more than a
concept vehicle. It’s a study that will be a design direction for all future
Acura vehicles.
The Acura Precision Concept is a bold expression of
the brand’s DNA of “Precision Crafted Performance”. Designed around the
“quantum continuum” design theme, the concept car measures 204 inches in
length, 84 inches in width and 52 inches in height, and has a wheelbase of 122
inches.
Along with an exceptionally low and wide stance,
long dash-to-axle ratio and deeply sculpted surfaces, the Acura Precision Concept
features Jewel Constellation LED headlights, 22-inch wheels and floating LED
tail lights which together increase the concept’s dramatic appeal. These
characteristics, including the Diamond Pentagon grille which debuted in the
concept, will be seen on the next-gen Acura RLX.
