Introduced in 2012 as a rival for the Nissan Juke, the Ford
Ecosport is due to get a mid-life cycle refresh. The subcompact crossover will
adopt some visual cues from its larger siblings, the Kuga and Edge, as well as
the Sync3 infotainment system and possible trim updates.
The 2018 Ecosport is expected to retain the current units,
including the 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter petrol, and the 1.5-liter diesel.
However, the crossover could also gain a four-wheel drive. The
updated Ford Ecosport will be unveiled in early 2017, with sales kicking off
shortly after. Previous reports state that the small crossover will be offered
in the United States as well later next year, but this has yet to be confirmed.
