Mercedes was spotted testing the facelifted version of the Coupe model
too. It’s the first time we get to see
the updated headlights of the new C-Class which feature a different lighting
signature, courtesy of some new LEDs that make it look more premium than
before.
The interior is also set to get a refresh, with the
most major differences to be found at the new steering wheel which will feature
touch-sensitive panels instead of the traditional buttons and new trim and
color options.
This C-Class Coupe tester is having only its front bumper
camouflaged but the finished car is expected with a new rear bumper as well. It’s almost certain that
Mercedes is going to use their latest diesel powertrains that debuted in the
E-Class and more specifically the 2.0-litre four-cylinder found in the E200 d
and E220 d models.
Traditionally Mercedes is known for trickling down
its latest technology features to its more affordable models, so don’t get
surprised if the new C-Class will come packed with things like the
semi-autonomous systems that debuted in its bigger brother too.
