Aston Martin DB11 Volante (spy shot)
This is fresh batch of Aston Martin's upcoming DB11 Volante
that Carscoops snapped during cold weather testing in Sweden.
Everything from the folding soft-top down looks
pretty much the same as it does on the Coupe version, however, the absence of a C-pillar lends it a somewhat different
look. With the Coupe, you get a much more sloped appearance, whereas the
Volante is a bit more angular.
The Volante will utilize the same
5.2-liter twin-turbo V12, sending 608 PS and 700 Nm of
torque to the rear wheels with the help of an eight-speed ZF automatic
transmission. Still, we're expecting a slightly slower acceleration time due to
the fact that the Volante will be heavier than the Coupe.
As for how much longer we'll have to wait until we
can purchase Aston's new convertible DB11, the writing on the door of the car
says it all.
