Jeep Compass Flex
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) of Brazil already produces in its
Pernambuco plant the new Jeep Compass 2.0 Flex Auto - vehicle that arrive in November, positioning itself below the diesel
versions, which are already in stores.
The Jeep Compass 2.0 Flex Auto adopts engine four-cylinder
Tigershark 2.0 imported from Mexico, flex, with develops 166 horsepower and
205 Nm of torque fueled with ethanol (159 bhp and 199 lb.-ft. gasoline), and
pre-system heating ECS (Ethanol cold System), releasing the sub-auxiliary
tank of gasoline for cold start.
The new Jeep Compass Flex arrives in Sport versions (R$ 99,990), Longitude (R$ 106,990) and Limited (R$ 124,990), plus an
Opening Edition launch configuration, 500 units for R$ 109,490, which brings
inner caramel leather, among other items. All Flex models are cheaper than the diesel versions, starting at R$ 132,990 in reias Longitude 4x4 model. Thus, the expectation of FCA is that
the models Flex 4x2 Compass account for 70% of sales.
The Compass comes with progressive power steering, electrically
operated locks and windows, air-conditioning and double airbag manual on access
version Sport. The intermediate model keeps both airbags and adds multimedia
system with GPS, among other items. The top of the range Limited, comes with
leather seats, six airbags, infotainment system with 8.4-inch screen.
In terms of active safety systems, all Compass have mo electronic
stability control (ESC), electronic systems Rollover (ERM) and trailer sway
(TSC), tire pressure monitoring and rear parking camera. Version top of the
range Limited optionally provides control adaptive cruise (ACC), warning and
prevention frontal collision (FCWp), lane change warning (LDW), automatic high
beam (AHB) detector blind spots (BSD), parking assist (Park assist) and seven
air bags.
The Flex 2.0 engine is able to accelerate the 1,550 kg of the Jeep
Compass Flex from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds reaching the maximum of 192
km/h, when fueled with ethanol. Using gasoline brands slightly worse: the 2nd
10.9 and 188 km / h, respectively. The downside is for the consumption high.
8.1 km/l in city and 10.5 km/l on the road, with fuel, worsening to 5.5 km/l in the city and 7.2 km/l on the road, with ethanol.
The Jeep Compass comes with its imposing visual and remembering too
the Jeep Cherokke top model of the brand, but more affordable and a good
package of standard items. This should provide good sales, especially in early
trading, even as the high consumption is, in a way, waiting for those who buy
an SUV of this size.
