Volvo V60 (render)
Volvo can now
turn its attention to the rest of its aging lineup. The Swedish automaker is going to need to spend some
resources on its mid-range 60 series.
Volvo will give those models a facelift to more closely
emulate the larger 90-series models. So rendering artist Remco of RM Car Design
worked up these images to show what the V60 wagon would look like with some
V90-derived styling elements, including more sharply creased sheetmetal and
those "Thor's Hammer" headlights.
Though a complete
replacement will be needed sooner than later, a bit of a refresh would help
Gothenburg take a bigger slice of the pie shared by the likes of the Audi A4,
BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class et al.
Expect the updated models to launch sometime in the
new year, bringing with it Volvo's latest powertrain, safety, and infotainment
technologies to go with the revised styling.
