Datsun is showcasing the Datsun redi-GO SPORT at the Autocar Performance Show 2017. Launched as a limited edition to celebrate the festive season in India last year, the redi-GO SPORT was initially sold out in less than a month.

The Datsun redi-GO SPORT gets red accents on the grille, black-painted wheel covers with red accents, sporty graphics and sporty roof spoiler on the outside. Inside, the redi-GO SPORT features an all-black interior with red accents on the steering wheel and HVAC vents. The equipment list expands with the addition of keyless entry, reverse parking sensor and Bluetooth audio system. The SPORT edition is built on the top-end S trim level.

The Datsun redi-GO SPORT uses a 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm. Power goes to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The car has an ARAI-certified fuel economy rating of 25.17 km/l.

The Datsun redi-GO SPORT was originally limited to 1,000 units and priced at INR 3,49,479 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In response to the limited-edition model’s unanticipated high demand, the company announced that it would produce 800 more units of the car.
