The first new product to launch this year is Tata’s
all new Xenon Yodha range of pick up trucks. It is priced at INR 6.05 Lakhs
(Single Cab, BSIII) and INR 6.19 Lakhs (Single Cab, BSIV).
The Xenon Yodha is available in single cab and
double cab variants, both powered by a 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine with an
output of 72 HP and 223 Nm in BSIII & 85 HP and 250 Nm
in BS IV. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and can be equipped with
a 4×4 drivetrain as an option.
Tata has re-inforced the suspension and drivetrain,
as well as increased the tire size to 16 inches for better drivability in
loaded conditions on any terrain. As for safety, the Xenon Yodha has antiroll
bars, unique 3-layered body construction, crumple zones, a collapsible steering
column, retractable seatbelts and side intrusion beams.
Tata also mentions that
it comes with a double paint coat and high gauge thick material, ensuring
enhanced life.
