Toyota Middle East had showcased the Toyota Hilux TRD at the 2016 Oman Motor Show. It
features exclusive TRD accessories that spruce up its exterior.
The Hilux TRD is based on the Double Cab XL variant,
and comes equipped with a black mesh grille, chrome garnish above the grille,
red-painted skid plate, 18 inch TRD alloy wheels, TRD running board, and carbon
fibre TRD exhaust pipe tips.
The Hilux
has red fabric seat upholstery, dual-tone red and black dashboard,
steering-mounted audio controls, 2-DIN audio system with 4-speakers, Bluetooth
telephony and streaming, and power adjustable ORVMs.
The Hilux TRD is powered by a 2TR-FE 2.7L dual VVT-i
4-cyl petrol engine that outputs 164 hp and 24.9 kg.m of peak torque. The model
showcased is fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a 6-speed automatic is
also available as an option.
