Volkswagen showcased the VW Ameo Crest at the
Autocar Performance Show. The Crest is the first
special edition of the made-for-India VW Ameo, and the collection comes on all
trim levels of the sub-4m sedan.
On the outside, the model features white exterior
colour, bootlid garnish, matte black roof and ‘Crest’ lettering on the C-Pillar
that was the first badge of the original VW Beetle built post-1945 in
Wolfsburg, Germany.
Inside, the VW Ameo Crest features beige leather
seat covers with diamond stitching with ‘Volkswagen Crest’ embossed, front
centre armrest along with storage space, doorstep garnish, detachable sunblinds
and exclusive textile mats.
The VW Ameo is available with a 1.2-litre MPI
three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre TDI four-cylinder diesel engine,
along with 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG (diesel-only) transmission choices.
The Crest Collection is priced at INR 25,000 for the Ameo Trendline and Ameo
Comfortline which come at INR 5,24,300 (ex-showroom Delhi) and INR 5,99,950
(ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, and at INR 21,000 for the Ameo Highline which
come at INR 7,05,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
