Honda is now working on a mid-cycle update for the Honda StepWGN. Twitter
user JZX_104 has managed to capture of what seems to be this facelifted Honda
StepWGN in Japan.
The fifth-gen Honda StepWGN will get an updated
front fascia with a styling similar to that of the recently introduced new
generation Honda models. The signature flying wing front grille flows into the
headlamps and it’s positioned above two horizontal slats. Below that, the air
dam grille and bumper are also apparently different from the ones on the
current model. The profile seems unchanged, while it’s unknown if there are any
changes at the rear. Not much is expected to change at the rear except tweaked
tail lights and restyled bumper.
The Honda StepWGN measures 4,690 mm/4,735 mm in
length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,840 mm/1,855 mm in height, and has a wheelbase
of 2,890 mm. It’s powered by the L15B 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO turbocharged
four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and 203
Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm and 5,000 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via a
continuously variable transmission. Drivetrain layout choices include
front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
Honda could unveil the facelifted Honda StepWGN
later this year, with domestic launch following soon.
