The Infinti Q60 coupe has been officially launched
in Malaysia. The Q60 is
offered in a sole variant that comes fully-imported (CBU) from Japan.
That variant is priced at RM 308,800 (on-the-road,
without insurance) and comes with a seven-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
There will be five exterior colours to choose from – Majestic White, Graphite
Shadow, Iridium Blue, Midnight Black and Dynamic Sunstone Red.
Under the hood, a Mercedes-sourced 2.0 litre
turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine serves up 211 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350
Nm of torque from 1,250 to 3,500 rpm. The direct-injected mill is mated to a seven-speed automatic
transmission (Merc 7G-Tronic) that directs drive to the rear wheels. Infiniti
says the Q60 will complete the zero to 100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds, with a
top speed of 235 km/h.
Exterior kit fitted as standard include 19-inch,
two-tone aluminium alloy wheels shod with 255/40R19 run-flat tyres, automatic
LED headlights with light guides, LED fog lights and LED taillights.
Moving inside, Infiniti’s InTouch handles all
infotainment needs, and is linked to two touchscreen displays (8-inch upper and
7-inch lower). The system comes with the usual array of inputs (CD, MP3, USB),
navigation plus support for multiple driver profiles to be stored (linked to
the Intelligent Key system).
Infiniti’s ‘spinal support’ 14-way powered seats are
standard here (with memory function for driver), as is semi-aniline leather
upholstery (Gallery White or Graphite) and brushed aluminium trim. Other goodies include a 13-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system,
ambient lighting system, a sunroof and dual-zone climate control.
On the safety front, the Q60 is fitted with six
airbags (dual front, side and curtain) and a pop-up engine hood for pedestrian
safety. You also get electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, ABS
with EBD and brake assist.
