The Yamaha V-Ixion R has been unveiled as the more powerful and premium alternative to the new 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion. The Yamaha V-Ixion R’s price tag has not been revealed yet but is expected to be significantly higher than the standard variant.


With the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion priced at IDR 26 million and the Yamaha R15 v3.0 at IDR 34,5 million, the Yamaha V-Ixion R can be expected to be priced between. Powering the Yamaha V-Ixion R is the 155.1 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The standard version gets a 5-speed transmission. The engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power and 14.7 Nm of peak torque.

Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology will also help the bike produce ideal amount of power across the rev range. The fully digital instrumentation cluster also gains a shift light to help in optimum gear shifts. Other features include a USB charger, slipper clutch, LED headlamp and a light weight 131 kg body.


Brakes for the Yamaha V-Ixion R includes discs at both ends. Tyres in the Yamaha V-Ixion R include 90/80 -17 section wheel up front and a 130/70 -17 section unit in the rear.


The Yamaha V-Ixion R also gets a smaller exhaust canister than the standard variant to give it a sporty appearance.
