The overhauled 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 250 has been rendered by the Japanese Magazine Young Machine. The manufacturer is yet to officially announce an update for the quarter-litre motorcycle.

The rendering showcases a more aggressive version of the Kawasaki Ninja 250 with LED headlamp and upside down fork up front. The present generation of the Kawasaki Ninja 250 is powered by a 249 cc parallel twin mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The water-cooled mill is capable of producing 32 PS of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 21 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The updated version is expected to have more output than the present version, taking it closer to the CBR250RR.

Shifting from the standard telescopic fork to the upside down fork will help the bike gain a smoother ride. There have been rumours of a four-cylinder Ninja 250 and Kawasaki officials have confirmed that a four-pot quarter-litre machine is under study, including its pricing and marketing strategies. However, the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja 250 update may not be drastic and continue as a twin-cylinder.

The render also claims that the bike will be a MY 2018 model which means that the motorcycle may be showcased later this year. The 300 cc variant for Europe and India, the Kawasaki Ninja 300, carrying the updated parts, may also be unveiled shortly after its launch.
