The top-end Fiat Argo ‘HGT’ variant has been spotted
without camouflage in Brazil, by Filipe Morales. The Argo is days away from its
market launch, with the first examples spotted on a transporter heading to
dealers. This unit featuring the special body colour, is the ‘Opening Edition’
which would be limited to 1,000 units.
Several units of the Fiat Argo were spied nearly
undisguised at the company’s factory in Betim, Brazil, ahead of its launch in
the following weeks.
These shots give a first look at the Argo’s final
design which draws inspiration from the Fiat Tipo hatchback but does have some
distinctive elements such as the window line, taillamp design, sportier bumper
set and smaller dimensions. One of the images also reveals the range-topping
HGT version, which has 16 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, chrome-finished exposed
tailpipes, and an aggressive body kit.
The Fiat Argo will come with a 1.0-litre FireFly
three-cylinder engine, 1.3-litre FireFly four-cylinder motor, and a 1.8-litre
E.Torq Evo engine. The availability of said engines depends on the variant
chosen: Attractive, Essence and HGT. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard in
all variants, while the 1.3L and 1.8L motors can be had with a 5-speed Dualogic
automated manual transmission and 6-speed automatic, respectively.
The interior has been exposed in new photographs
featuring a three-spoke steering wheel nearly similar to that of the Fiat Tipo,
a large MID between the analogue speedometer and tachometer, a free-standing
infotainment system with a colour display that runs Android Auto, and circular
central HVAC vents.
