TVS Motor has released a teaser of a ‘new Scooty’
featuring a sharp rear-end with boomerang-shaped indicators that look similar
to the ones in Scooty Zest 110. It will arrive in showrooms across India soon.
The Scooty Zest was recently updated to meet BSIV
emission norms and feature daytime running pilot lamps. It’s likely that the
model teased is either a limited edition of the Scooty Zest 110, featuring an
exclusive colour option with contrasting graphics and perhaps features not available
in the regular Zest 110, or a mid-cycle facelift.
The regular version comes with a backlit
speedometer, LED taillamp, textured floorboard, stainless steel muffler guard,
optional dual seat colour, USB charging, 19-litre under seat storage as
standard. What will be shared between the two is the 109.7 cc four-stroke
engine capable of 8.02 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of peak
torque at 5,500 rpm. It has a 5L fuel tank, and the company claims a fuel
mileage of 62 km/l.
Currently, the TVS Scooty Zest 110 is priced at INR
46,238 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect the new edition to be slightly more
expensive.
