For 2017, Honda introduces its sub-300 cc scooters, the 2017 Honda NSS300 and Honda PCX150, in Candy Caribbean Blue Sea, and priced at RM 30,727 and RM 11,658. In the maxi-scooter segment, the Honda NSS300 made its world debut 17 years ago and was launched in 2014 in Malaysia. Powered by a liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder 279 cc engine, the NSS300 puts out a claimed 25 hp at 7,500 rpm and 26 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.

Fed by Honda’s PGM-Fi, the NSS300 carries its fuel in an 11.6-litre tank. Seat height is set at 716, and weight is claimed to be 194 kg. Braking for the NSS300 is by hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, and ABS is standard.

Also fuelled by PGM-Fi, the PCX150 features idling stop-start, a fuel-saving measure that shuts the engine off when the PCX is at idle for more than three seconds.

Fuel for the PCX150 is carried in an 8-litre tank located under the seat, and weight is listed in the specification sheet at 131 kg. Braking is with a single hydraulic disc in front and drum brake at the back. Primary competition for the Honda PCX150 is the Yamaha NMax at RM 8,812.

Aside from the Candy Caribbean Blue Sea colour scheme, the 2017 Honda NSS300 also comes in Pearl Himalayas White and Seal Silver Metallic. The 2017 Honda PCX150 has Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl Metalloid White as colour options aside from the aforementioned Caribbean Blue.
