At 2017 Buenos Aires Motor Show, Chevrolet
unveiled the S10 Trailboss, a concept based on the S10 pick-up truck (known as
the Colorado in other markets).
The Trailboss earns its name thanks to all the
off-road equipment that has been added to it, which should help it be a master
of routes less travelled. On it, you’ll find new bumpers, skid plates, side
steps, chunky wheel arches, front bull bar, rear sports bar, a carrying case
for supplies, and a roof rack for even more supplies.
The list goes on, with 18-inch alloy wheels (shod
with all-terrain tyres), front-mounted LED light bar and a snorkel so the 2.8
litre Duramax turbodiesel engine isn’t asphyxiating should you decided to ford
through a river. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission,
with an all-wheel drive system to deliver its 193 hp and 500 Nm appropriately.
While it may look pretty hardcore on the outside,
the interior is pretty well equipped with leather seats, automatic
air-conditioning, MyLink infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay compatibility), 8-inch touchscreen display and a JBL speaker system.
