According to a report from Motoroids, the redi-GO 1.0L version will launch in India on July 19, 2017. Nissan is yet to confirm the launch date yet, but could starting sharing teasers online in the next few weeks.

The 1.0L naturally aspirated SCe petrol motor in the Kwid produces 68 PS at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. It could initially come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Expect the fuel mileage to be similar to the Kwid’s, which can average 23.01 km/L. Once Datsun launches the AMT variant of redi-GO, it will be the second least expensive automatic car in India, after the Tata Nano Gen X Easy Shift.

Like what Renault did with the Kwid 1L initially, Datsun could exclusively offer the 1.0L engine option in the top-end S and Sport grades. In both variants, a driver’s airbag is standard, while the Sport version additionally gets keyless entry, reverse parking sensors and Bluetooth audio system.

Prices could start from INR 3.8 Lakhs for the redi-Go 1L S, while the redi-GO 1L Sport could start from INR 4.00 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
