PGO first introduced the
Cevennes Water Snake Concept at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. While it offered
little in the way of details at that time, it has finally given us new details
and photos of the exclusive sports roadster. And what it shows us is a car that
looks more like it is ready to tackle the streets of the globe rather than sit
in a design studio as a “concept.”
The Cevennes Water Snake Concept has been dressed in
a fine blue carbon finish that, to be honest, looks pretty hot. On top of that,
PGO also built a new sports body kit to give the concept a more aggressive
stance than the standard Cevennes.
The angular headlights are distinguished by LED
daytime running lights and the French automaker capped it off by installing a
set of 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
With its retro looks, the Cevennes Water Snake
Concept has an interior that matches the advertisement. Leather looks to be
pre-dominantly used, particularly on the upholstery, the dash and the
flat-bottom steering wheel.
The PGO Cevennes Water Snake Concept is powered by a
BMW-sourced 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 184 horsepower and
177 pound-feet of torque. Those figures are good enough to allow the car to hit
a top speed of 140 mph with an estimated 0-to-96 km/h time of around 7 seconds.
