Specifications and pricing of the 2017 Proton Exora have quietly made their way onto the Proton Edar website. A source at Proton has confirmed that the revised seven-seater MPV has already gone on sale.

Just two variants are available now, both powered solely by the 1.6 litre CamPro Turbo engine making 138 hp and 205 Nm, matched to a CVT. Prices start at RM 67,800 for the Executive model, rising up to RM 75,800 for the Executive Plus. The higher-end Premium and Super Premium models appear to have been dropped from the lineup, as have the base Standard trims.

All models now get 16-inch alloy wheels as standard, with the Executive getting silver ten-spoke items from the previous Premium and Super Premium variants, and the Executive Plus gaining more intricate two-tone rollers from the Inspira. There’s also a new Ruby Red colour option as seen on the Perdana.

Other revisions include the new Proton logo, smoked headlights, a gloss black front grille and rear tailgate strip and a body-coloured rear valence for the Executive model. The Executive Plus is differentiated by further application of gloss black on the door mirror caps, roof, rear spoiler and tailgate (mirroring the also-revised Iriz), LED daytime running lights, a matte grey body kit, black pillar appliqués, door strips and a rear fog light.

Inside, you’ll find new patterned plastic trim on the centre console and gearlever surround, along with a new centre strip for the leather upholstery – both are exclusive to the Executive Plus. Standard kit includes fabric seats, a radio/CD player with Bluetooth connectivity, four speakers, a reverse camera, second- and third-row air vents and a new USB port on the floor console.

Stepping up to the Executive Plus throws in power-folding door mirrors, the aforementioned leather seats, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, front seat armrests, cruise control, a rear DVD player with a nine-inch overhead monitor and window tint. The Exora also should get the same noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) upgrades as the Iriz.

Safety-wise, all models get dual airbags and ABS with EBD, with the Executive Plus model also receiving stability control. Unfortunately, it appears that side airbags, previously offered on the Premium and Super Premium models, can no longer be had on the Exora.
