Indonesian ‘digimod’ artist Adrians Ramadhani has
envisioned an extended variant of the Maruti Ignis for the Indonesian market
where three-row vehicle are at the top of the pecking order in the SUV and MPV
segments, suiting the unique lifestyle, road conditions and driving patterns of
Indonesian car buyers.
Suzuki’s interest in the compact three-row segment
was made public when the company brought in a stretched Wagon R to the IIMS
2013 in Jakarta. While there have been no solid updates on the production
vehicle, subsequent reports, citing sources, claim the next-gen Wagon R would
get third row seating, and that it would be manufactured in India.
The Ignis, with its mix of the boxy shape yet contemporary
styling touches, is turned into a cozy family lounge accommodating all family
members in one vehicle, by Adrians.
The lighter, taller and less expensive Wagon R could
be the better choice for the starting point of a seven-seater, but if Suzuki
wants a three-row variant calling for the millennial, Adrians has the solution.
